What a lobby bar is and why it works for meetings
A lobby bar is a format known from good hotels: a space between a cafe, a restaurant and a bar, where you can spend an hour or half a day and nobody looks at the clock. In Zakopane that role is filled by Aperitif Bar at Le Scandale, ul. Zaruskiego 5, operating alongside the Aries hotel with its own entrance from the street.
For business meetings this format works for three reasons. First, the music plays in the background, so a conversation needs no raised voices. Second, the tables and armchairs stand far enough apart that nobody overhears your arrangements. Third, the staff work to the guest's rhythm: the order, a coffee refill and silence while the conversation goes on.
An interior that makes the first impression for you
Stone, wood and leather, comfortable armchairs and a fireplace. Highlander elegance without the folk museum and without club-style gloom. It is an interior that suits a recruitment conversation just as well as signing a contract with a partner who has come to Podhale for the first time and whom you want to host properly.
The location adds its part: 300 metres from Krupówki, a minute's walk from the main promenade and at the same time away from its noise. A visitor from out of town finds it without explanation, and after the meeting has the whole centre within reach.
From coffee through lunch to an evening drink
The lobby bar serves every hour and every meeting scenario:
- Morning coffee. The bar opens daily at 9:00 and until noon works in cafe mode. A good moment for a quiet one-person office with a laptop, or a quick meeting over espresso.
- Business lunch. The kitchen is open from 13:00 to 21:45. The menu has starters, soups, salads, main courses from 46 PLN up to beef tenderloin, and desserts. All at the pace of a conversation, not of fast food.
- An evening drink. After hours the same space shifts into bar mode: wines, classic cocktails including Espresso Martini on fresh espresso, and whisky for a conversation by the fireplace.
One place therefore covers a whole day of a business trip: morning coffee, lunch with a client and an evening wrap-up.
When to come and how to book
Late mornings and early afternoons are best for meetings, when the venue is at its quietest. In the winter season and at weekends it is worth booking a table by phone on +48 530 331 531, especially the seats by the fireplace.
For larger formats, for example a team dinner or a company event, private hire of one of the zones or of the whole club is available at the same address, with service, a bar and a sound system. The quote is agreed by phone.
